We lost the battle!

Yes, we lost the battle. Jerry died early this morning. We don't know what happened. He was breathing better and was settling in to sleep when I left at 6:30 p.m. The nurses said he began breathing hard about 11:30 and his saturation points started going down and they tried giving him CPR and it didn't work. The pulmonary doctor called me this morning and said they thought it was a cardiac problem or that the cancer metastasized and was in his brain. I guess we will never know for sure but maybe the good thing is that he isn't struggling to breathe or dealing with that horrible cough. The viewing hours are Sunday 2-6 p.m. and the funeral will be Monday at 11:00 p.m. Thanks to everyone for all of your concerns and prayers. I sure appreciate all of my friends.

Judy,

So sorry about Jerry, he was a great friend as you are. I always enjoyed talking with Jerry about golf, dogs, stock market, and other.

I cannot believe that it went so fast, but it may have been for the best.

Both Maraby and I will be there for the calling hours and the funeral.

Anything that we can do please ask now or later.

Love, Joe and Maraby

Judy - I am so sorry to here about Jerry. Martha and I have been in Florida for the past 10 days. When Jack called me yesterday with the bad news, I was floored. Jerry was a great guy and I really enjoyed his friendship over the years. My sons really enjoyed playing golf with Jerry also. I prayed for Jerry and hopefully he suffered very little. We will see you at the funeral home. If there is anything at all we can do, please let me know. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Judy, Mother and I are so sorry for your loss. You will have great memories to sustain you! We always enjoyed visiting with you; there was always a lot of fun and laughing. Mother isn't up to the trip; she is having some back problems this summer, but you are in our thoughts and prayers. Claudia

Judy,

I am so sorry to hear about Jerry. I never got to meet him, but you always spoke so highly of him. I wish I could be with you over the next few days, but you know I will be with you in spirit and you will be in my prayers.

Susie if you are reading this, please give Judy a tight hug from me when you see her.

If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I love you, Joeli

Oh Judy, I'm at a total loss for words. I'm so sorry for your loss and please know that if there is ever anything you need, let me know and it's yours. I didn't get to meet Jerry and I'm sorry for that.

I pray that God will give you and your children strength and peace in the upcoming days and months.

Love you,
Ann
